"You're a pancreas," she says to me. I love it that she says pancreas, even if she doesn't really know what it means.

Mad Libs story

scully : Saturday 16 January, 2010 : Winnie's words

So, we went to Wendy’s for dinner the other night and got a Mad Lib’s Junior set in the Kids Meal. (Mad Libs gives you the story and you fill in the nouns, verbs, adjectives, and miscellaneous words from a group of choices.) Although the wee one isn’t quite at the level to read and write sufficiently, we did it together and she created a hilarious story. The words she chose are in italics.

For my birthday, my parents bought me a pet dolphin. She is so cute that I named her Crispy. She has a really long fin and I love to pet her crispy skin. I bought her a crispy collar that she wears around her neck. I’m teaching her to cry and to come when I whistle. Every time she does a trick, I say, “Good dolphin!” and I feed her a meatball. Next, I’m going to teach her to catch a Frisbee in her fin. Every night, she sleeps on an octopus right next to my chair bed. In the morning, she rubs her fin on me to wake me up. What a blue pet!!

Needless to say, she cracks herself up every time she says crispy and meatball.
